31 FALCON

Private competition entry for a block of luxury residential apartments in Victoria Island. The very brief detailed requested a mixture of 2 – 4 Bedroom apartments and penthouse units with shared amenities.

Our concept idea was driven by the desire not to create an imposing monolithic structure. Our intention was to create a building which broke up the skyline and responded to the varying site context and conditions.

Taking our cues from the mechanics of a Falcon in flight, its finely structured feather configuration which allows for peak aerodynamism, we sought to articulate the building by creating a dynamism that allowed he building to change direction as it soared thereby creating a unique look from all angles.
