THE BREAST CANCER TREATMENT CENTRE, IKEJA G.R.A. LAGOS.

The brief required the design for a state of the art Cancer Treatment Centre, focusing on surgery, patient care and rehabilitation.

Our design solution sought to break away from the clinical feel of healthcare buildings and provide a patient focused, process driven solution through extensive research on breast cancer treatment and patient experiences of the process.

The building is broken into ‘clusters’ focusing on the patient process from diagnosis to rehabilitation, designed around a courtyard with views and vistas carefully positioned throughout the building.

The extensive use of landscaping and warm materials will help create a serene and positive environment more associated with retreats than hospitals.
